Girls on the Run

Welcome to Girls on the Run! 

The Girls on the Run Program (GOTR) is: 

  • designed to enhance girls’ social, psychological, and physical skills and behaviors with research-based lessons that teach critical life skills like managing emotions, helping others, making intentional decisions, and resolving conflict. 
  • delivered by volunteer coaches who complete extensive training focused on fostering an inclusive environment, celebrating individual achievements, and creatively integrating movement in a fun and motivating way. 
PROGam details
  • Meet in Portable 35 afterschool
  • Practices are Monday and Wednesday from 3:45-5:15 p.m.
  • Parent pick up is 5:15 p.m. in the school parking lot
  • Bring comfortable clothes to run in
  • Bring a water bottle
  • Team Capacity: 20 girls

PROGRAM IS FULL!

Spots filled up quickly—this team has officially reached capacity at 20 girls! We’re so excited about the strong interest and energy around this program. If you weren’t able to secure a spot, a waiting list is now available, and we’ll reach out if any openings come up.

  • March 23, 2026: Practices Start Afterschool
  • April 13-17, 2026: No practices (Spring Break)
  • May 18: End of the Season Celebration
  • May 31: Girls on the Run Official 5K at Renton Memorial Stadium
