Monsters Galore

What an unforgettable evening! Our third-grade teacher, Ms. Gage, teamed up with Ms. Miller, a Mount Si High School art teacher, for a truly special project. Ms. Gage’s class wrote imaginative stories about monsters and brought them to life with their drawings. These drawings were then sent to Ms. Miller’s ceramics students, who spent three weeks crafting unique, hand-made monsters inspired by the third graders' artwork.

On Tuesday evening, our third graders took center stage at the Author's Chair, proudly reading their stories aloud to an eager audience. After each reading, a high school student presented the young author with their very own monster creation—transforming each story into a tangible work of art. It was a magical celebration of creativity, collaboration, and community!
